Engineering

Software for machines that work outside.

We build the software, data, and integrations that robotics and ag-tech products need to survive contact with a real farm, and we've been doing it since 2013.

01 Capabilities

What we build

01

Robot software & integrations

Connect your robot to the rest of the farm: ROS bridges, teleoperation and remote-assist tooling, mission planning UIs, logging, OTA pipelines, and integrations with herd, feed, and FMIS systems.

02

Fleet & operations dashboards

Give operators, support teams, and customers one place to see robot health, job status, alerts, and uptime, designed for someone wearing gloves at 5 a.m.

03

Machine data & APIs

Ingest, normalize, and serve data from tractors, implements, sensors, and robots. We've built the customer side of a unified machine-data API across major OEMs.

04

ML, vision & AI agents

Computer vision datasets from real barns and fields, model evaluation in field conditions, and agentic workflows on top of farm data.

05

Farmer-facing products

Web and mobile apps farmers will actually open: onboarding, records, reporting, and the boring-but-critical workflows that make a product sticky.

06

Field deployment & operations

We deploy, operate, and maintain your machines in the field, from first install to daily runs and data collection, so your team isn't flying out every time something needs a hand.

07

Data collection programs

Plan and run on-farm data gathering for ML: hardware selection, capture rigs, pipelines, and labeling workflows, staffed by people who know the crops and animals.

08

MVPs & technical due diligence

Stand up a credible v1 quickly, or get an honest outside read on a codebase, architecture, or vendor before you commit.

02 Why us

We know the barn your product has to live in.

  • 2013

Building ag-tech since, from dairy operations software to machine data.

  • Nationwide

FeedX had customers in almost every US state.

  • OEM

We've built tooling for machine data from John Deere, Case IH, and more.

  • 700

Cows on our own dairy, where we can test what we build.

03 Who we work with

04 How we work

Small team. Senior work. Real demos.

  1. Step 1

    Scope

A 30-minute call, then a short written proposal with outcomes, milestones, and pricing.

  2. Step 2

    Build

Weekly demos, a shared repo, and working software early. No black-box agency handoffs.

  3. Step 3

    Prove

Where it makes sense, we run it on Grass Ridge Farm before it goes to your customers.

  4. Step 4

    Hand off

Docs, tests, and a clean handoff to your team, or we stay on as your field engineering partner.

05 FAQ

Engineering questions

What kinds of teams do you work with?

Robotics and hard-tech startups going into agriculture, established ag-tech companies that need extra engineering capacity, and agricultural businesses building internal tools.

Do you build hardware?

We focus on the software, data, and integration layers around hardware, plus field deployment and testing. We work alongside your mechanical and electrical teams rather than replacing them.

Can you work remotely?

Yes. Most engineering work is remote with regular demos. Field work happens at Grass Ridge Farm or on your customers' farms.
